A small shrine originally built in 1659!
Tsukiji Namiyoke Jinja Shrine is an importatnt Shinto shrine located close to the Tsukiji Outer Market. In the old days, Tsukiji area was sea and people tried to reclaim yet high waves always disturbed. After Tsukiji Namiyoke Jinja Shrine was built in 1659, everything suddenly went well and Tsukiji has become prosperous land! Current shrine was rebuilt in 1937.
