A picture gallery of the Meiji Emperor!
Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery in Meiji Jingu Gaien is a gallery exhibiting 80 paintings of the Meiji Emperor’s life. It has 40 Japanese-style paintings and 40 western-style paintings by the leading painters! The gallery’s massive building built in 1925 is designated as an important cultural property in 2011. The building is beautifully illuminated at night from sunset to 22:30!
