Tokyo Daijingu is a Shinto shrine located near Iidabashi station. Five major shrines in Tokyo are Meiji Jingu, Yasukuni Jinja, Hie Jinja, Ohkunitama Jinja, and this Tokyo Daijingu. Tokyo Daijingu enshrines Amaterasu-Sume-Ohkami, the greatest deity in Japan. Ise Jingu in Mie prefecture, the most prominent shrine and sacred place in Japan, enshrines Amaterasu-Sume-Ohkami. Tokyo Daijingu is also famous as the first shrine in Japan to establish the Shinto wedding ceremony.
