“One of the best contemporary art museums in Harajuku and Omotesando area!”
WATARI-UM is a very unique museum of contemporary art opened in September, 1990. It exhibits various artworks from woodblock prints, pictures, to designs. The building of WATARI-UM is designed by Mario Botta, a Swiss architect who also designed San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The art store, ON SUNDAYS, has stylish art products which would be a great souvenir! The museum is about 10 minutes walk from Harajuku or Omotesando station.
