National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo
This museum was established in 1877 and is one of the oldest museums in Japan. Permanent exhibitions are divided into Japan gallery and global gallery which explain the history of Japan and the earth from scientific points of view. There are also exhibitions of Dinosaurs and the universe. From the young to the olds, lots of people can enjoy here.
Tokyo National Museum
This museum was established in 1872 and is the oldest museum in Japan. It was built to collect and study Eastern art works and archaeological remains including Japan’s ones.Temporary exhibitions are also popular for those are interesting.
Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Kunio Maekawa, a Japanese modern architect who learned from Le Corbusier, one of the great pioneers of modern architecture, built this museum. It is the first national art museum in Japan established in 1926. About 300 temporary exhibitions are held in a year. Even the exhibitions may require admission fee, the entrance fee for the building is free.
